The 2010 Festival of German Films
May 11th 2010 10:40
Achtung!
The Festival of German Films celebrates nine years of sharing its culture, history and entertainment through films in 2010. This year is also the first time the Festival of German Films screens in Adelaide, making the festival even bigger and better than previous years.
There are only a select number of films over three days in Adelaide, but the audience attendance and enthusiasm for German films will ensure its return next year. Editor of Kultur, the magazine of all things German from the Goethe-Institut in Australia, Klaus Krischok was at various screenings to introduce some of the films and provide some interesting background information on the characters and actors.
This year, the festival has a three course serving with a selection in German Currents, featuring contemporary and new productions, Berlin Based features films of a political and historical nature based in Berlin, and Culinary Comedies brings lovers, family and friends together in a comedic narrative with food as a main ingredient.
Hopefully, the Festival of German Films returns next year with a larger and longer run in Adelaide.
