The 13th Spanish Film Festival in Australia

Hola!
The 13th Spanish Film Festival returns to Adelaide in 2010 with even more films showcasing some of the best and brightest talents in Spanish and Latin American cinema.
There is an increase in the number of diverse and unique stories from young and upcoming filmmakers, who bring new perspectives and originality to Spanish cinema. There is something for all tastes ranging from stirring dramas to heart-warming feel-good comedies and thought-provoking documentaries or family-friendly animation.
Most of the films are all in Spanish with English subtitles, but a few films are spoken in English and have Spanish subtitles. These include Agora starring Oscar winner Rachel Weisz as legendary philosopher and mathematician Hypatia, and an Australian documentary titled Blank Canvas which follows the Sydney Dance Company’s search for a new Artistic Director after young Tanja Liedtke died just before she was to begin in the role, and eventually appointing Spanish-born Rafael Bonachela to the position.
The 13th Spanish Film Festival is concurrently screening at arthouse theatres in Adelaide, Sydney and Canberra until 16 May 2010, and in Melbourne until 23 May 2010. The film festival will run in Brisbane from 20 to 30 May 2010. Unfortunately, cinema-goers in Perth will miss out, as The Spanish Film Festival will not be screening there this year.
